ZAGREB, October 22, 2018 - Croatia is among 13 European Union member states which recorded a government budget surplus in 2017 and among 15 EU countries with public debt exceeding 60% of Gross Domestic Product, according to a report released by the EU statistical office Eurostat on Monday.
ZAGREB, October 17, 2018 - Finance Minister Zdravko Marić said on Wednesday that the activation of a state guarantee for the Pula-based Uljanik shipyard would undoubtedly have an impact on state finances and that it would amount to 2.5 billion kuna by the end of 2018, with the shipyard's total debt amounting to 4.25 billion kuna.

ZAGREB, July 22, 2018 - Along with their regular salaries, in the first six months of 2018 Croatian lawmakers have spent additional 5.1 million kuna on rent, daily allowances, airplane tickers, hotels, family separation allowances, while Domagoj Hajduković of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Ante Bačić of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) spent the most – 89,913 kuna and 89,488 kuna respectively, according to figures released by the national parliament.
