ZAGREB, May 19, 2018 - A ceremony was held in Parliament on Friday to mark 15 years since the establishment of the Croatian Association of Counties (HZZ).

ZAGREB, May 16, 2018 - Croatia has already started drawing up 42 major strategic development projects which it intends to finance with EU funds from the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework, Croatian Regional Development and EU Funds Minister Gabrijela Žalac said in Brussels on Tuesday.

ZAGREB, April 2, 2018 - The director general of the Hrvatske Vode utility Zoran Đuroković said on Monday Croatia had absorbed five to six percent of the European Union funds allocated for the municipal water infrastructure but that he expected all funds to be absorbed by 2023, when the financial period for spending the funds ends.

ZAGREB, March 19, 2018 - The Transport and Infrastructure Ministry on Monday received confirmation from JASPERS for a project to upgrade and electrify the Vinkovci-Vukovar railway line which is ready for EU funding, the ministry reported.

ZAGREB, March 9, 2018 - Seven grant agreements, worth 182 million kuna in total, were signed at the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds on Friday. The agreements relate to e-services, healthcare, welfare and emergency response programmes for war-affected and economically deprived areas. 161 million kuna, or 87 percent of the total amount, will come from EU funds, the Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds Gabrijela Žalac said.

ZAGREB, February 24, 2018 - Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said on Saturday progress had been made in the contracting and realisation of projects as part of the Slavonia, Baranja and Srijem Project, adding that it was necessary to strengthen the fiscal capacities of local government and combine the use of the state budget and European Union funds to create a framework for keeping young people in the Slavonia region.
