Croatia Increasingly Depended on Imported Gas

ZAGREB, October 15, 2018 - Seven or eight years ago, Croatia was able to satisfy 80%-90% of its gas needs from its own production, while currently less than half the gas needs are met by the country's own resources, and in eight years' time less than one fifth of the gas needs will be met by domestic production, the head of the Croatian Gas Association, Dalibor Pudić, said at a conference called "The Croatian and the Regional Gas Market" on Monday.

Plinacro Invests in Croatia’s Gas Distribution System

ZAGREB, August 31, 2018 - The state-owned Plinacro gas transmission company signed a 8.2 million euro contract on Friday with the Romanian-based SC Euro Gas Systems S.R.L. for the delivery of the first compressor station for Croatia's gas transportation system, Plinacro said in a press release.

WTO Says Croatia Discriminates Against Foreign Gas Pipeline Operators

ZAGREB, August 13, 2018 - Croatia, Hungary and Lithuania discriminate against foreign gas pipeline operators, according to a finding of a panel of three adjudicators of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) that thus sustained a part of objections made by the Russian Federation against the European Union's gas market rules, the Reuters news agency has reported.

Croatia Investing in Gas Pipeline Connections

ZAGREB, August 9, 2018 - The state-owned Plinacro gas transmission company plans to launch construction work on the first compressor station for Croatia's gas transportation system and the project that will allow permanent two-way flow at an existing interconnector between Croatia and Hungary is estimated at 209.5 million kuna, Plinacro said in a press release on Thursday.

INA Buys ENI's Gas Fields in Northern Adriatic

ZAGREB, June 20, 2018 - The Croatian oil company INA has agreed the purchase of the Italian ENI company's stake in the gas fields in the northern Adriatic, INA said on Wednesday, noting that it would become the sole owner of the Italian oil and gas group's ENI Croatia BV subsidiary and take over the management of the exploitation fields North Adriatic and Marica once all contractual terms were met, including approval by market competition agencies.
