ZAGREB, April 26, 2018 - The NHS union federation on Wednesday staged a protest rally in St. Mark's Square between Government and Parliament Houses to warn of the unacceptable extension of working life to 67 and additional penalties being imposed for early retirement.

ZAGREB, March 20, 2018 - The Union of Autonomous Trade Unions (SSSH) on Tuesday condemned announcements, released through the media, that raising the retirement age to 67, which was to have been introduced as of 2038, will be introduced as of 2033, which means that everyone currently under the age of 52 will be required to work until they are 67.
The new pension rules will apply to people born after 1966.

ZAGREB, March 2, 2018 - The Croatian government on Thursday tabled draft amendments to the law on non-compulsory pension funds and to the law on pension insurance companies to incorporate recommendations of the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism (MONEYVAL).
ZAGREB, February 5, 2018 - The total assets of compulsory pension insurance funds at the end of 2017 amounted to 91.9 billion kuna, which is 9.5% or around 7.7 billion kuna more than at the end of 2016, it was said at a news conference held in Zagreb on Monday by the Association of Companies Managing Pension Funds and Pension Insurance Companies (UMFO).
People are worried that the collapse in the prices of Agrokor’s shares could hurt pension funds.
Pensions funds have invested a lot in Agrokor, which does not seem like a good idea now.
