ZAGREB, March 19, 2018 - The job vacancy rate in Croatia rose mildly in the fourth quarter of 2017, while in the EU it remained unchanged compared to the previous quarter, show figures from the EU's statistical office Eurostat.

ZAGREB, February 1, 2018 - The European Union's and the euro-area's unemployment rates in December remained unchanged compared to the month before, while Croatia is pointed out as one of the countries with a pronounced decline in jobless rate year-on-year, according to a report provided by the EU's statistical office Eurostat.
In a country with 200,000 unemployed persons, some companies have to launch promotional campaigns to find new employees.
ZAGREB, January 23, 2018 - The registered unemployment rate in December 2017 grew for the third consecutive month, to 12.2% from 12.1% in November, but on the year it recorded a decrease, according to preliminary figures released by the national statistical office (DZS) on Tuesday.
The labour force survey unemployment is lower in percentage terms than the administrative unemployment rate reported by the Croatian Employment Service.
Contrary to some other claims, Eurostat says that employment in Croatia is falling.
