This year's first LOT flight from Warsaw landed on 19 June, those to Szczecin and Olsztyn took off yesterday and the first one to Zielona Gora is expected today. The flights to the three new destinations will operate once a week, on weekends, until the first weekend in September, while those to Warsaw will operate until early October.

April 16, 2021 - The latest flight news to Croatia as 10 Eurowings flights to Zagreb, Split, Zadar, and Rijeka will operate from next month!

Croatian Aviation reports that Eurowings, a low-cost airline from the Lufthansa Group, will resume traffic to several Croatian airports in May and have a total of as many as 10 scheduled flights to four Croatian airports - Zagreb, Rijeka, Zadar, and Split.

The company currently operates three international routes to Croatia (one to Zagreb and two to Split) and will resume operations on seven more in May.

More flights to Zagreb Airport and Split Airport

Zagreb will continue to be connected to Cologne three times a week (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays), and Eurowings will resume traffic on the line between Stuttgart and Zagreb on May 20 with two flights a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

Eurowings currently operates on two lines to Split, and in May it will have a total of five.

Lines from Dusseldorf and Stuttgart to Split currently operate once a week, and a second flight per week is introduced on both routes (in addition to Saturday, an additional flight on Tuesdays).

Eurowings will introduce lines from Cologne, Dortmund, and Hamburg to Split in early May, and all lines will be open once a week, on Saturdays.

Lines to Zadar Airport and Rijeka Airport are being introduced

Zadar and Rijeka airports will welcome the first planes of this airline in this year's summer flight schedule in May.

Flights to Croatia: Eurowings Connects Four Croatian Cities with Berlin Brandenburg in Summer

January 23, 2021 - The latest news for flights to Croatia Eurowings connects four Croatian cities with Berlin Brandenburg in summer.

Croatian Aviation reports that Rijeka, Zadar, Split, and Dubrovnik will have a direct line to Berlin's new airport this summer!

In its timetable for the upcoming summer season, Eurowings has announced these four routes as new. However, almost all of the above-mentioned Croatian airports previously had a connection to Berlin Tegel Airport. Since the airport is closed, traffic to Croatia will be transferred to the new airport, and for the first time, four Croatian cities will be directly connected to the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

The first line will be the Berlin - Split - Berlin line, before the Easter holiday. The flight will mark the start of the season on Saturday, April 3. The airline plans to operate on this route until October 30, every Saturday, and from June 1, the number of weekly flights will increase to two. Namely, an additional flight is introduced on Tuesdays. In this period, Eurowings will operate over 50 return flights between Split and Berlin and offer more than 17,500 seats in both directions. A319 and A320 aircraft have been announced on the route and all other routes to Croatia.

The Berlin - Dubrovnik - Berlin line will start operating on May 9 and run until the end of the summer flight schedule, October 24. One flight per week is available every Sunday, so Eurowings will offer around 8,200 seats on this line during the season.

The Berlin - Rijeka - Berlin line will be in operation from May 15 to October 30, also once a week, on Saturdays. Twenty-six return flights are planned, with Eurowings currently offering more than 8,500 seats between Berlin and Kvarner.

The Berlin - Zadar - Berlin line has been announced from May 22 to October 30 and will also operate on Saturdays once a week. The 25 announced return flights guarantee over 8,200 seats in both directions.

Eurowings will offer over 43,000 seats between Croatian airports and Berlin in the 2021 summer flight schedule.

Recall that in the summer of 2019, Eurowings operated from Berlin (ZL Tegel) to almost all airports in Croatia. In the summer season of 2020, only the Berlin-Split-Berlin route operated briefly. According to current announcements, Croatian airports will again be directly connected to the new Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

The airline currently offers cheap tickets on routes from Croatia to Berlin, starting from 50 euros, with all prices on the official Eurowings website.

Flights to Croatia: Eurowings Cancels Cologne-Split, Vueling Terminates Dubrovnik Winter Service

December 4, 2020 - The latest news for flights to Croatia as Eurowings cancels Cologne-Split, and Vueling terminates its recently announced winter service between Barcelona and Dubrovnik.

Croatian Aviation reports that two well-known low-cost carriers, Germany's Eurowings and Spain's Vueling, withdrew two lines to Croatian destinations, although they were announced for December and January, respectively.

In November, Eurowings announced its flight schedule for December this year, in which it will offer slightly more flights to Croatian destinations, Zagreb and Split, just in time for the holidays.

Although Eurowings has announced traffic on the direct Split-Cologne line, this will not happen. Namely, the airline's original plan was to operate on this line from December 22 to January 10 twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays, but low demand caused by new measures at border crossings forced the company to cancel planned operations on this line.

There will still be lines from Dusseldorf and Stuttgart to Split, as well as Eurowings lines to Zagreb.

Furthermore, Spanish low-cost airline Vueling announced at the end of October that it would launch the Barcelona-Dubrovnik route in January 2021.

Regular flights on this route were on sale twice a week, every Thursday and Sunday. Vueling was also forced to cancel these flights and is currently planning to return to Dubrovnik with the start of the summer flight schedule, in April next year.

The airline tried to motivate a certain number of passengers to visit Dubrovnik in January at very reasonable prices, but this was clearly not enough. When we take into account all the restrictions that exist today when traveling (especially international ones), the cancellation of these flights is quite an expected move by the airline.

Dubrovnik was left without its only announced scheduled flight this winter, and there will be no international flights to and from Dubrovnik until the spring of next year, while Split remains connected by Croatia Airlines to Frankfurt, Rome and Munich, Edelweiss to Zurich, KLM to Amsterdam and Eurowings for Dusseldorf and Stuttgart.

Flights to Croatia: Eurowings Boosts Traffic to Croatia in December!

November 18, 2020 - The latest news for flights to Croatia as Eurowings boosts traffic to Croatia in December.

Croatian Aviation reports that Eurowings has announced its flight schedule for December this year, in which there are operational changes on the routes to Croatia.

With the end of the summer flight schedule at the end of October, Eurowings withdrew from Pula, Rijeka, and Zadar, leaving only two destinations active in the winter months - Zagreb and Split.

The airline announced four flights a week on the routes to Zagreb for November, but they operated fewer, only twice a week, due to reduced demand.

During the holidays, Eurowings increases traffic to Croatia

During the Christmas and New Year holidays, Eurowings plans to increase its presence in Croatia. Given that many Croatian citizens live in Germany and want to come to Croatia just in time for the holidays, this increase in traffic certainly makes sense. And Eurowings is not the first to announce an increase in flights at this time of year.

On the Stuttgart - Zagreb line, Eurowings currently operates twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays. From December 23, 2020, to January 6, 2021, another flight per week is added, on Wednesdays.

The Zagreb - Cologne line currently operates two flights a week, on Fridays and Sundays. From December 21, 2020, to January 6, 2021, they have added two more flights a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays.

Eurowings will increase the number of weekly flights to Split, temporarily introducing another route

The Split - Dusseldorf line currently operates once a week, on Saturdays. From December 23, 2020, to January 6, 2021, another flight has been added, on Wednesdays.

The Split - Stuttgart line currently operates twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. From December 22, 2020, to January 10, it will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Eurowings will temporarily introduce the Split - Cologne line, which will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays, from December 22, 2020, to January 10, 2021.

Increasing traffic to Croatia just in time for the holidays was an expected move by Eurowings. Apart from direct destinations, passengers will make excellent connections to other German cities, such as Hamburg and Berlin.

Recall that German Lufthansa has canceled the Munich - Zagreb line, and it will not operate from December 1 to the spring of 2021.

September 21, 2020 - The latest news for flights to Croatia as Eurowings reduces traffic to Croatia in October.

Croatian Aviation reports that Eurowings has announced its flight schedule for October. The company will continue to operate to destinations in Croatia, but several lines that were in operation in September will no longer be available. The company will continue to operate to three Croatian airports.

In September, Eurowings had as many as 76 weekly rotations to Croatia, operating to six Croatian airports: Zagreb, Pula, Rijeka, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, and Zagreb. In October, the company will operate only to Zagreb, Split, and Rijeka.

Lines to Split

Eurowings will have 5 routes to Split Airport in October, only one less than in September. The Split - Hanover line is canceled while the following remain in traffic:

Split - Dusseldorf 3 times a week, every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday (one flight less per week compared to September),

Split - Hamburg 2 times a week, every Tuesday and Sunday (two flights fewer than in September),

Split - Cologne 2 times a week, every Thursday and Saturday (four flights fewer than in September),

Split - Stuttgart 2 times a week, every Thursday and Saturday (two flights fewer than in September),

Split - Berlin 2 times a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, as well as in September.

Lines to Pula, Zadar and Dubrovnik are canceled

Eurowings regularly operated on routes to the three airports in September, but will not October. The following lines are canceled:

Pula - Dusseldorf,

Zadar - Cologne,

Zadar - Stuttgart,

Dubrovnik - Dusseldorf,

Dubrovnik - Berlin,

Dubrovnik - Hamburg.

18 operations per week to Zagreb

Eurowings will keep the same number of weekly flights to Zagreb as it did in September. The company will operate regularly on two lines: from Stuttgart and Cologne.

Zagreb - Stuttgart will operate 4 times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, identical to September.

Zagreb - Cologne will operate 5 times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The same number of weekly flights is available in September.

One active line to Rijeka

The company will continue to operate to Rijeka in October. Eurowings will maintain traffic on the Rijeka - Dusseldorf route, once a week, every Saturday. The last flight on this line has been announced for October 24. This year's second line, Rijeka - Hamburg, was canceled at the beginning of September.

In October, Eurowings will operate to three Croatian airports with 42 operations per week on 8 routes, which is almost 50% fewer weekly flights compared to September. Cancellations of individual departures still remain possible and will depend primarily on the status of bookings.
