Divers Prevent Collapse of Levee near Jasenovac

ZAGREB, March 20, 2018 - Braving very low temperatures in the conditions of extremely poor visibility, four underwater divers worked on repairing a levee on Monday afternoon and thus prevented the collapse of the embankment at the confluence of the River Una with the River Sava near the town of Jasenovac, the Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS) reported on Monday evening.

ZAGREB, January 29, 2018 - Serbia's Prime Minister Ana Brnabić on Monday said that she did not see any reason for Croatia's protest note regarding an exhibition on the WWII Jasenovac concentration camp at UN headquarters and called for defusing the situation, underscoring that Croatia should have supported the exhibition in order to point to horrific WWII crimes.

War of Words Between Croatia and Serbia over Jasenovac Continues

ZAGREB, January 29, 2018 - Following Croatia's protest note expressing dissatisfaction with Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić's statement at the opening of an exhibition on the Jasenovac WWII concentration camp at the UN on January 25, Serbia's President Aleksandar Vučić said on Sunday that historical truths were "absolutely clear", whereas Dačić himself said that he was outraged by "hypocrisy and impertinence" of Croatia.

Croatia Protests Due to Serbia’s Jasenovac Exhibition at UN

ZAGREB, January 26, 2018 - Croatia's Foreign and European Affairs Ministry on Thursday said that through an exhibition on the Jasenovac concentration camp at the UN headquarters in New York, to be staged on Thursday evening, Serbia "is manipulating and disseminating false information" about that Ustasha-run WW2 concentration camp for "propaganda purposes".
