Prime Minister Reacts to President’s Praise for Opposition

ZAGREB, June 2, 2018 - Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said on Friday that President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović obviously liked what the MOST party was doing and that her statement praising that party was possibly aimed at expanding her voter base. "She obviously fancies what MOST has been doing. My experience with MOST was bad, but maybe she has been trying to broaden her voter base," Plenković said while answering questions from the press in Kutina, where he attended a ceremony marking the 50th anniversary of the local artificial fertiliser factory Petrokemija.

Plenković Refuses President’s Proposal for Joint Cabinet Session

ZAGREB, May 30, 2018 - Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said on Tuesday that there would be no joint meeting of his government with President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović to discuss measures to fight negative demographic trends, which she proposed on Monday. "The president has sent a letter with her proposal but it did not contain any specific measures about which she has spoken publicly on several occasions," Plenković told reporters after attending a presentation of the campaign "Find a Job in Croatia" in downtown Zagreb.
