President Pays Midnight Visit to Croatia's Border with Bosnia

ZAGREB, September 6, 2018 - Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović visited the Cetingrad Border Police Station in the night between Wednesday and Thursday and after a midnight tour of the border area with Bosnia and Herzegovina, the president said in the village of Buhača she had received assurances that the Croatian police were professional and well equipped.

UNHCR: 2,500 Refugees Returned This Year, Including from Croatia

ZAGREB, September 5, 2018 - Since the start of 2018, around 2,500 refugees and migrants who tried to reach Western Europe via Croatia have been turned back, including 1,500 who have been denied asylum, while 700 have reported violence and theft, the UNHCR says in a report entitled "Desperate Journeys".

3,200 Migrants Caught Trespassing Croatian Borders

ZAGREB, August 20, 2018 - Interior Minister Davor Božinović denied on Monday allegations coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina that there are about eight thousand migrants in Croatia and responded that the number of migrants caught trespassing the entire border, including the border with Serbia, has amounted to 3,200 so far this year.

Migrant Smuggler Injured While Running Away from Police

“Croatia Will Not Allow Unlawful Border Crossings”
