ZAGREB, March 17, 2018 - During a visit to the southern peninsula of Pelješac, where he attended the opening of a renovated primary school in Orebić municipality, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković said he believed that appeals against the results of the tender for the construction of the Pelješac Bridge would be resolved soon and that the project would continue as planned.
ZAGREB, March 2, 2018 - The proceedings initiated by the appeals of the Austrian company Strabag and of a consortium comprising Italy's Astaldi and Turkey's IC Ictas against Hrvatske Ceste's decision to entrust the Chinese consortium China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) with the construction of Pelješac Bridge can be brought to a completion in two to three weeks, the chairman of the State Commission for the Supervision of Public Procurement Procedures, Goran Matešić, said at a business conference in Zagreb on Friday.
ZAGREB, February 6, 2018 - Transport Minister Oleg Butković said on Monday Croatia would build the Pelješac Bridge on its territory and that its construction would not threaten Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH) rights, as "we will free Neum (BiH) security-wise and connect our territory, so both countries will benefit."
ZAGREB, February 5, 2018 - The Bosniak member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency, Bakir Izetbegović, on Sunday called for relaxation of relations between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and between the Bosniaks and Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, warned that a third entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina was not possible without a war and opposed the planned construction of the Pelješac Bridge without first demarcating the border and ensuring Bosnia and Herzegovina access to the high seas.
ZAGREB, January 30, 2018 - Chinese Ambassador to Croatia Hu Zhaoming said Monday he was not surprised by appeals submitted by companies which competed in a tender for the construction of the Pelješac Bridge in which a Chinese consortium led by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) was selected as the most favourable bid, adding however that he was surprised by their arguments which in his opinion are "unfounded."

ZAGREB, January 26, 2018 - Work on the most difficult stretch of Montenegro's first motorway to run from the port of Bar to Boljare on the border with Serbia, which is being built by the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRCB) that will also build the Pelješac Bridge in Croatia, will be finished according to schedule, in May 2019, Montenegro's Minister of Maritime Affairs and Transport, Osman Nurković, has said.
ZAGREB, January 24, 2018 - The Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Oleg Butković, said on Wednesday that two complaints that had been filed regarding the selection of the contractor for the Pelješac Bridge project would slow down the entire process by up to a month and a half, and that upon the completion of the appeals procedure, a contract would be signed with the contractor.
ZAGREB, January 23, 2018 - The State Commission for Supervision of Public Procurement Procedures has stated on its web site that it has received an appeal from the Strabag company against the Croatian Road public company ("Hrvatske Ceste or HC") operator's decision to select China Road and Bridge Corporation for the first-stage construction of Pelješac Bridge and access roads. Strabag was one of the three bidders, and the third one was a consortium of the Italian Astaldi and Turkish IC Ictas.
ZAGREB, January 17, 2018 - Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović said on Wednesday there were no obstacles to the construction of Pelješac Bridge, emphasising that it was a very important development project for Croatia and posed no threat to the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
