In honor of Stari Grad’s 2400 years of foundation, a new event has been added to the celebration on September 9: a performance by Croatian urban music group Stari Grad, the cultural association (KUD) "Starogrojcice" and Faroski Kantaduri.

The announced exhibition in Brussels - the start of the official celebration of the 2400th birthday of Stari Grad on Hvar island took place today. The event was initiated by the member of the EU Parliament Andrej Plenković, who after the presentation of the 300th anniversary of the Sinj Alka in May last year, organised another event at the EU Parliament as a way of contributing to the promotion of the Croatian culture and identity in the European Union.
As an exhibition to mark the 2400-year story of the founding of what some claim is Croatia's oldest town is set to take place in Brussels on April 4, 2016, someone obviously forgot to tell the Stari Grad Tourist Board on Hvar.
