Croatian Olympians Promote Epic Week Contest

By 28 April 2017

Croatian athletes are one of the best ‘Croatian exports,’ and we have justly been wondering for years why they aren’t included in the promotion of Croatian tourism

Finally, there has been a positive move, as the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO) and Croatian Tourism Board (HTZ) came to an agreement so our world renowned athletes would promote Croatia through the Epic Week campaign. By taking part in the campaign with the hashtag #epicweek, discus thrower Sandra Perković, rowers Martin and Valent Sinković, sailors Šime Fantela and Igor Marenić, high jumper Blanka Vlašić and boxer Filip Hrgović will use their social media profiles to invite fans to take part in the contest and win a dream week in Croatia, Hrturizam.hr reported on April 28, 2017.

Their mission in the HTZ campaign will be to entice fans through Facebook and Twitter to select 7 of 101 potential touristic activities in Croatian destinations and other tourism potential included in the campaign application http://bit.ly/EpicWeekCroatia and share them on social networks. Anyone can take part in the contest, while those who generate the largest number of likes enter the finals, with the main prize being a touristic trip for two.

The #epicweek campaign is the joint project of HOO and HTZ, who began a new four-yer cycle as part of the Olympic cycle.
