Travelers are encouraged to try the famous sheep cheese and prosciutto from Posedarje with homemade red wine. After a wonderful meal and sweet traditional cakes, travelers can also enjoy a Maraschino desert liqueur.
Split is the gastronomic capital of Croatia known for its taverns (or as we call them, konobas) and Split specialities are a real example of Dalmatian cuisine. In the capital of Split-Dalmatia County, travelers must have a taste of “pašticada” with gnocchi and Dalmatian “kroštula”, accompanied by the sweet dessert wine “prošek.”
