With so much love for Croatia from media worldwide, it's not a surprise the number of tourists on the Adriatic is steadily increasing. The latest example? The acclaimed Condé Nast Traveler, showering Dubrovnik with praise on June 26, 2017.
In a feature titled '10 Reasons to Visit Central and Eastern Europe Now', Paul Rubio of Condé Nast advises readers to "forget the predictability of Western Europe, and take a chance on the emerging destinations of central and Eastern Europe".
Dubrovnik ranks third on the list – to be more precise, the recently renovated Hotel Excelsior. The article lists a line of impressive renowned guests that have stayed in the hotel in a whole century it's been in operation, such as Elizabeth II, Elizabeth Taylor and Princess Caroline of Monaco. Rubio advises to enjoy a daytime cocktail at Abakus Piano Bar and Terrace, and promises a spectacular view of the Adriatic Sea and the city walls.
