Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik expanded its gourmet offer to include products prepared with halal-certified ingredients
Hotel Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik is the first hotel owned by the Valamar group to boast a certificate of halal quality, reports HRturizam on April 18, 2018. Muslim guests, along with all other visitors who for any reason prefer halal, now have a guarantee that the accommodation services, food and drinks provided by the hotel adhere to strict halal standards.
The certificate was presented to the hotel director Ivica Sabljić by Aldin Dugonjić, the head of the Centre for Halal Quality Certification in Croatia. Originally founded by the Islamic Community in Croatia, the centre is nowadays an independent institution, the only one in Croatia that's authorised to issue halal certificates.
"It is with great pleasure that we're granting a halal certificate to the first hotel in one of the most significant hotel groups in the Republic of Croatia", said Dugonjić, adding that the increasing number of halal-certified hotels in the wider Dubrovnik area could soon result in Croatia entering the growing halal tourism market.
Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik expanded its gourmet offer to include products prepared with halal-certified ingredients. All halal dishes are clearly marked to make the selection easier for the guests; the hotel has also introduced specially equipped rooms for those guests who are looking for a halal service.
