And it's available in English, German and Italian too!
For the first time, everyone can explore all Croatian national and nature parks in one place thanks to the new portal www, parkovihrvatske.hr (bad URL for foreigners to try and remember but that's why we have Google), Croatian Radio Television reported on March 16, 2016. Not only is the portal full of information, news and fantastic pictures, it is also available in 4 languages: Croatian, English, German and Italian!
The portal allows you to go for a virtual walk through all 19 parks across Croatia, plan your visits according to the distance from your current location, it provides information about 283 different attractions and lists 889 activities. he portal also has 1172 paths and locations clearly marked on all available maps so you can see all available hiking and cycling routes, get accurate information on their difficulty, availability etc. What is very interesting to note is the fact that the map for the first time, includes all available activities for disabled.
This web portal was created as a part of the PARCS project conducted by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and UNDP. Project manager, Valentina Futač stated that this new portal will become he main source of information for all visitors from all over the world. Furthermore, prospective visitors will be able to purchase all tickets for national and nature parks online as of May, and according to Ms. Futač, a mobile app will also be available soon in order to enable all visitors much better orientation once they enter the park.
