Valamar Invests 300 Million Kuna in Lanterna Premium Camping Resort

The resort is visited daily by over 10,000 tourists.

Valamar Riviera has invested more than 300 million kuna in the Lanterna Premium Camping Resort in Poreč in the last five years. A third of the amount, 98 million kuna, was invested just in the last year, reports Poslovni.hr on August 8, 2018.

Starting from this tourist season, guests can visit the new Maro Premium Village, camping homes and glamping tents fully adapted to children, the V Sport Park sports zone, new premium homes and premium camping suites at the Marbello Premium Village, new glamping tents and a new beach for guests at Glamping Village, the Mezzino Street Food and longer bicycle and hiking trails.

Just in the last year, Lanterna Premium Camping Resort has seen 23 new concepts being introduced, announced Valamar, which is one of the largest Croatian tourism companies.

“We are continuing to develop thematic areas since the demand for them is increasing,” said Bruno Radoš, the director of camp operations, pointing out that Valamar was setting new standards in the tourism industry. One of the company’s priorities is to use local products and provide guests with an authentic experience.

The resort sees up to 10,500 tourists daily during the peak tourist season.

Valamar pointed out that the Happy Dog Premium Village was opened last year, for which Lanterna Premium Camping Resort received the innovation award, as well as that at the Days of Croatian Tourism event it was awarded the Best Camp in Croatia and at the Best Large Camp titles.

The resort is one of the 39 members of Leading Campings of Europe association, and the Dutch association ANWB has ranked it among the four most innovative camping resorts in Europe.
