KLM is giving away trips to the world's hottest 50 destinations and Zadar is among them.
Launched this week, KLM's iFly Magazine announced an interactive competition for its fans to win tickets to one of 50 destinations across the globe. KLM are running the promotion to celebrate the anniversary edition of their iFly KLM Magazine, and one of the hot 50 travel options is Croatia and not the usual glory hot-spots of Split or Dubrovnik, but instead, this year's European Best Destinations winner Zadar.
Users are enticed to choose Zadar, with the musical waves of the Zadar sea organ. On a hot summer’s day, relax on the stone steps of the sea organ in the harbour town of Zadar. The movement of the waves creates a magical sound. At night, a spectacular light show enhances the experience.
I found myself scrolling through each of the 50 awe-inspiring destinations presented in the slides wondering how people will choose just five places to add to their shortlist. Be patient though as you scroll, while the format is visually pleasing with spine-tingling music the load time for the photos and to move to the next slide was (at least for me) frustratingly slow.
The competition idea is simple, use your arrow keys to scroll through the 50 places, and click the 'heart' icon on just five photos to enter to win tickets to one of those five places. Other non-traditional travel destinations on the list include our neighbours, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which features the bridge of reconciliation, Stari Most. Mexico, with a photo of the Samula cenote to entice readers as well as Kenya and Shiraz, Iran.
