Korean Air officially launched their Seoul-Zagreb route on Saturday.
On Saturday, September 1st, Korean Air landed their inaugural flight between the two capital cities at approximately 15:30 at Zagreb Airport, reports Ex Yu Aviation News on September 1, 2018.
The airline will operate three weekly flights to Zagreb with an Airbus A330-200 jet until the start of the 2018/19 winter season, which begins on October 28th. From then, Korean Air will begin using its Boeing 777-200ER on the route, and from January 2, 2019, they'll switch to the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The new line can carry between 248 and 269 passengers on the two aircraft.
Korean Air has already announced strong bookings on the new line, with late September being especially popular because of the Chuseok holiday.
"Ticket sales and advanced booking numbers are in line with our expectations for this route and we are satisfied with its performance", Korean Air said, adding that the average cabin load factor on flights to Zagreb is already said to be 99%.
As a way to promote the new route, Korean Air published an inviting advert featuring Korean actress Ye Sul Park. The advert is titled ‘A Walk in Croatia’.
