Energy Clinic Expanding Croatia’s Health and Wellness Tourism Offer

By 8 September 2018

The company is oriented towards luxury wellness programmes.

It often seems that the Croatia 365 programme is just a lot of talk and no substance. One of the segments of tourism that could greatly contribute to the achievement of this proclaimed goal – expanding the tourist season – is certainly health and wellness tourism. Energy Clinic has recognized that there are more and more people to whom it is no longer enough just to offer sunbathing and swimming. Also, people often want to vacation outside the peak of the tourist season.

Energy Clinic was founded 18 years ago by Zdeslav Radovčić, who is convinced that wellness is a necessary element of the lifestyle of every person. They initially organised seminars, meditations and relaxations all over the world, from Fiji to Bali to Hawaii. When clients expressed a need for a comprehensive spa and wellness centre, they opened the first Energy Clinic wellness centre in London. From the very beginning, they linked their business with five-star hotels by delivering luxury wellness and spa services. That direction has been continued with the establishment of a travel agency.

“We have implemented new products that the market is looking for and we want to base our future business on them: multi-day programmes which include accommodation and catering. Our main partners are Hotel Ola Seget, Hotel Bellevue Šibenik, Hotel Odisej Mljet and Hotel Stancija Meneghetti. We offer 3-, 5-, 7- and 14-day programmes intended for wellness guests. These programmes cannot be sold through TUI, but they demand different sales channels than those usually used in Croatia. There is a special niche of specialised wellness agencies and we know that the real results will not be achieved this year, probably not even the next year. Still, I think that Croatia, if it wants to become a wellness destination of Europe, has to find these new channels through which it will offer such luxury services,” explains Radovčić, the director and founder of Energy Clinic.

Each of the Croatian venues with cooperates with Energy Clinic offers a specialised programme. Hotel Ola offers the Detox Programme which includes detox juices, LCHF diet or a Mediterranean diet. Hotel Bellevue in Šibenik offers medical wellness in cooperation with the well-known physician Meri Bura. It is a programme whose first step is a consultation with the physician who sets out all the further steps of the programme in order for guests to learn about the healthy lifestyle and ultimately achieve the best possible results. The packages at the Odisej Hotel on the island of Mljet, with a national park and countless opportunities in the vicinity of the hotel, offer active wellness and it is, therefore, an ideal place for yoga retreats. Meneghetti Wine Hotel is a complete peaceful oasis. Just being here, you already feel disconnected and isolated from everyday life. It is currently offering luxury wellness retreats.

“As the leader of the wellness industry, Energy Clinic recognizes and celebrates collective readiness to accept healthier lifestyles by launching a series of multi-day programmes for the people with a newfound passion for wellness and the desire to adopt healthier lifestyles. Each world-class programme is designed to meet the needs of travellers who need rich and luxurious wellness experiences. Whether depleted of energy, curious about healthy Mediterranean cuisine, or a lover of nature or fitness, our multi-day programmes are what your body and soul crave,” concludes Radovčić.
