Cyclists truly feel welcome at these venues.
After the adoption of the Operational Plan for the Development of Cyclotourism in Zagreb County until 2020, the Zagreb County Tourist Board has decided to identify and highlight tourist facilities in the area which offer food and drinks, information and other tourist services intended for cyclotourists, and to organize and network them into an integral tourist product, reports hrturizam.hr on October 17, 2018.
With the aim of better positioning Zagreb County as a cyclotouristic destination with high quality of services, and based on insights into good practices and examples from other European cyclotouristic destinations, the Zagreb County Tourist Board, in cooperation with the RAM DC company, has developed the Cyclist Welcome quality standards.
After the evaluation process, 27 facilities located in the territory of Zagreb County have been found to meet the conditions to be entered into the Cyclist Welcome network. They have all been presented with plaques displaying the official visual identity and with categorization tags. They have also received as a gift a set of basic equipment for bicycle repairs.
Below is the list of facilities in Zagreb County which meet the Cyclist Welcome Quality standard, divided into three groups (Cyclist Welcome accommodation facilities, Cyclist Welcome food and drinks facilities, Cyclist Welcome tourist information centres).
