Zadar Airport celebrated 600,000 passengers on Friday with a commemorative ceremony. After last year's 589,000 passengers, this is a new record in airport traffic for Zadar.
Mrs. Jagoda Mihalenec arrived on the OU632 Croatia Airlines flight from Zagreb on Friday evening to be the 600,000th passenger at the airport this year. The passenger was rewarded with a return ticket at the destination of her choice with departure from Zadar Airport, reports eZadar on November 10, 2018.
The award was given by Zadar Airport Director Josip Klišmanić, who expressed satisfaction with the results achieved and the level of service this year.
“Zadar Airport is growing year by year, and the upcoming announcements for the 2019 season promise not only the continuation of this trend, but a significant increase in passenger traffic and even greater availability of Zadar and the Zadar region,” said Klišmanić.
Zadar Airport will add eight new routes to the city next summer. Specifically, budget airline RyanAir, which last year held a 5% capacity share in Croatia and was behind rivals including easyJet and Eurowings, will strengthen its seasonal base in Zadar in 2019 with the already scheduled new services from Hamburg, Prague, Cologne, and Nuremberg, reported Ex Yu Aviation.
The Zadar region also recently announced a new promotional video under the title ‘Say Yes to Everything’.
"There is a word we rarely hear these days. One that allows amazing things to happen. That word is, “Yes.” So, say yes to fresh air and blue seas, sandy beaches and hidden trails, playing and laughing. There is a word we rarely hear these days. One that allows amazing things to happen. That word is, “Yes.” So, say yes to fresh air and blue seas, sandy beaches and hidden trails, playing and laughing. Because saying yes to everything always leads you to better memories than saying no ever will. You have our word. Say yes to the Zadar Region, Say yes to everything!"
