I heard about delayed departures of ferries because of Hajduk games, but this is the first time (in my time on the island), when the request did not come from Torcida, but from the Croatian National Theatre Split.
According to Stari-grad.hr website, on March 19, 2016 the ferry from Split to Stari Grad will depart at 21.00 instead of 20.30 because more than 100 school children will be visiting the La fille mal gardée ballet on this day. The show starts at 18.00, so all the kids will be able to get back to the island with the last ferry.
The La fille mal gardée premiered last Saturday and we were amazed by the performance of the Split ballet ensemble. You can read more about the premiere here.
