I didn′t realize the very important match was today, as my husband, player of NK Jelsa is in Zagreb this weekend. I confirmed this fact to Matko, trainer of the NK Jelsa this morning as he rushed through Riva, stopping by to ask me, whether, by any chance one of his best players was already back from Zagreb. Nope, still in Zagreb, until Monday. He didn´t look very happy.
NK Jelsa was short on several good players, but as it turns out, there are plenty of good players on the team waiting for a chance to prove themselves once the older ones are in Zagreb.
Congratulations to the team, especially to the really talented goalkeeper Jure Goić, who stood by his team in those toughest moments.

I remember, that when I got the jerseys to wash before the very first match of the season, I noticed the goalkeeper′s jersey was missing. We (my daughter and I) washed the jerseys with much love and care, folded it nicely together with shorts and socks and tied a ribbon around each package. We added a short note and a home-made cookie. As the goalkeeper′s jersey was missing, I put an extra cookie to the bunch and I told my husband to give it to Jure. My daughter, who was listening to this conversation said, that this cookie was a magical cookie and after Jure eats it, he will not let the ball behind his back, not once!!
Must have been a hell of a cookie..
Congratulations again to the whole club!!
