Customer Service, Croatian Style: Rugby Disappointment to Free Adriatic Holiday

Croatian customer service is not noted for its excellence, but there are exceptions, as shown by Surf 'n' Fries supremo Andrija Colak on March 17 2017. After Gary Paul thought he won tickets for a rugby game instead of fries, cthe ompany apologized by giving  him and his son a free summer vacation.

Rijeka, 9th of March 2017, Surf’n’Fries brand decided to make an apology by giving a free summer vacation to Gary Paul who thought he won a tickets to a rugby match from a Surf’n’Fries online giveaway competition. Chips brand was actually giving away free chips at the rugby match and not tickets to the game. When Gary Paul found out about the prize he was deeply disappointed, especially due to the fact he had promised his son to go to a Six Nations rugby match. However, the story comes with a happy ending. The Croatian brand headquarters contacted Gary Paul and offered him an apology by paying for him and his son to come on free 7 day holiday in Croatia.

CEO and Co-founder of Surf’n’Fries Andrija Colak said the company never had any intentions of misleading advertising on Facebook with free giveaway and that they feel sorry for what happened especially having Gary Paul’s son disappointed for not going to a game. “In order to make things right we asked Gary Paul and his son to visit Croatia for a summer holiday to enjoy the Adriatic coast.” says Surf’n’Fries CEO Andrija Colak.
