One of Largest Croatian Software Companies Changes Owners

By 7 January 2018

IN2 Group has new owners from Canada.

Constellation Software Group has announced that its member, Vela Operating Group, and its subsidiary Aquila Software, has taken over the IN2 group, one of the leading Croatian software companies, reports Večernji List on January 7, 2018.

Constellation Software is a global group headquartered in Toronto, Canada. It was founded in 1995. Through organic growth and acquisitions, it has grown into an organisation with more than 13,000 employees and more than 200 companies on five continents. Constellation Software usually takes over companies with high growth potential or companies that have already gained a leading position in software development in various industries, according to the company’s statement.

“The takeover of IN2 is an additional step in our ongoing focus on IT solutions which we provide to our customers. We are delighted with the quality of people and clients brought to us by IN2. What IN2 has accomplished over the last 25 years is truly exceptional, and we hope that our future business successes and further growth will be based on their achievements in this region,” said Mike Byrne, the executive director of Aquila Software.

“IN2 is one of the first major Croatian software companies. With our growth, we have participated in the creation of the local IT market and trends in the industry, and we have been developing our solutions for the private and public sectors in the last 25 years. My wish is that IN2 in the coming years becomes a global company in the true sense of the word and I believe that our new owner and strategic partner Constellation Software is the right choice for that big new step forward for our business. I would like to add something else, equally important – our clients in the Croatian market and the region will still be at the centre of our attention,” said Ante Mandić, the founder and CEO of IN2.

IN2 has recently announced plans for international expansion which will probably be easier to achieve as part of a larger business group.
