Biggest World Producer of Essential Oils to Employ 100 People in Croatia

The American ''Young Living'' brand is building a 14,500 square metre facility near Split.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 12th of May, 2018, there's something new coming to the Podi business zone.

''We've got several new investments in the Podi business zone, and we're looking forward to seeing about a hundred new jobs!''

''The world's largest producer of essential oils, America's Young Living, is building an area of 14,500 square metres in Podi's west zone. As lokalni.hr writes, this large investment will offer at least 100 new jobs over the next year,'' stated Perica Bosančić, Mayor of Dugopolje Municipality.

''In order to properly receive this important investor, as well as the equally important new facility, we've placed new power cables in Podi west zone, and we've built a new substation, Podi 36. We started the public procurement procedure to complete the road to Podi West at a value of two million kuna,'' said Bosančić.

In addition to Young Living, a Sistemtehnik investor intends to construct a factory for the manufacturing of parts for the pharmaceutical industry on a 6,000 square metre space, and Split-Dalmatia County's pharmaceutical branch will invest nearly 70 million kuna in the construction of a mini pharmaceuticals factory.

Lesnina is close to the end of its preparations of an annex consisting of more than 15,000 square metres. The Orbika facility will also be expanded, and there are at least four new companies in waiting there.

While this is all encouraging enough in itself, these aren't the only investments in Dugopolje. Works on the construction of the Split-Dalmatia County Visitor Centre have now begun, marking the beginning of an investment of 11 million kuna which will enable the whole of Dalmatian Zagora to provide tourism revival by being the central location for presenting all that beautiful and often overlooked Zagora can offer.
