A 178 million kuna investment is on the cards for one leading company.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 10th of September, 2018, the four-star Meteor hotel boasts a large amount of accommodation units, which represents 43 percent of the total offer when it comes to hotels in the wider Makarska area.
Valamar, one of the most popular and undoubtedly the most well known hotel chains in Croatia, plans to invest a massive 178 million kuna into Meteor over the next five years, as was confirmed to Slobodna Dalmacija by Joško Lelas, one of the two members of Valamar's board of directors.
''A development strategy and high quality service are needed to turn Makarska into a destination for guests with more paying power.
Investments are crucial in order for the hotels of Makarska to be branded in accordance with Valamar's brand standards, as foreseen by the management contract. Quality service is based on highly educated and motivated employees, and our employees are always at the forefront.
Makarska hotels have achieved excellent business results with their employees, and with the enhancement and advancement of their existing capacities and hotel categorisation, the space for opening up new jobs and further investing in the skills and knowledge of all employees will be possible,'' concluded Lelas.
