Croatian Locomotives Going to Israel and Ivory Coast

By 27 July 2015

Receivership did not stop Gredelj from producing and exporting high quality railway equipment.

Croatian and US National railway equipment Companies (Gredelj and NRE) are starting the delivery of the first out of 4 locomotives from Sitarail from the Ivory Coats as well as two out of six diesel locomotives for Israel.

Locomotives are built to tow heavy freight trains on non-electric railroads for Israeli Railways, and they are a continuation of a very successful cooperation between Gredelj and NRE during which this Croatian company has constructed and delivered many new, reconstructed and modernized locomotives that are now being used all over the globe.

"Our goal is to meet the demands and interests of our clients whilst being competitive and present on as many markets as possible. Ivory Coast and Israel are our two new destinations and we hope many more will follow" – Gredelj's receivership commissioner Pero Hrkać commented. He also added the company built 36 new locomotives since it went into receivership proving that the product is both competitive and of the highest possible quality. All locomotives, wagons and trains are constructed for all types of railroads and they are used all over the world from Argentina to Saudi Arabia.
