This weekend, the Zagreb Zoo will celebrate its 91st birthday with a series of events! The program for the 91st celebration of the Zagreb Zoo will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, from 11h to 18h.
Visitors will be able to see attractive photomontages by Damir Hoyka, inspired by the “wild heart” of the city of Zagreb and alongside the development of the Zagreb zoo. Through a variety of content, Hoyka will exhibit the Garden - showing residents of the Garden connected with the known views of the city of Zagreb. Visitors will be able to see the exhibition at the Educational Center. Displaying photographs of important historical moments, animals and dwellings in the Garden, you will also be able to see the plans for the future when the Garden will reach its first phase of modernization, and how the concept will move forward from there.
The youngest zoo goers will enjoy playful mascots in the Garden such as lions and lemurs. In order to encourage children to explore the animal kingdom, educators have devised a detective zoo game. Wearing special detective badges, children will visit educative corners and collect stamps. At the end of the game, the children will be handed symbolic gifts. They can also enjoy free face painting and photography.
Don’t miss out on celebrating Zagreb Zoo’s big birthday celebration, there will be something for everyone here! The Zagreb Zoo is located at Maksimirski perivoj bb.
