A new service from Marseilles to Split from Volotea is the latest addition to an increasingly busy 2017 schedule to Dalmatia's airports, reports Avioradar on October 20, 2016.
More good news for French tourists to Dalmatia next summer, as low-cost Spanish airline Volotea has announced it will be commencing flights to Split from Marseilles from early April.
Starting initially with a weekly flight from April 9, the service will add an additional weekly flight from June 28.
THe route, which used to be operated by Air Mediterranee, was only available via charter last summer.
With 2016 being a record year, all the signs that 2017 will be even busier in Split, which makes the proposed construction of the new airport terminal all the more urgent. Work was supposed to start this month, but there has been a delay over a complaint filed against the winner of the tender, whose bid included four words of Slovenian. Read more here.
