Zagreb Vinocom Has Begun!

By 26 November 2016

As Zagreb Vinocom opens on November 25, 2016, will masses of people coming in for Davis cup affect attendance?

Professor Ivan Dropuljić has been working hard since 2006 to grow Vino.com into the huge event it has become. Ten separate exhibition halls, including a tent extension over the hotel's famed Oleander Terrace, forming over 2500 square meters of space and the temporary home for more than 300 exhibitors.

The show features wine of course, but not just wine. Gastronomy is well represented with producers of food, oils, sweets, truffles, and other delicacies from the region. There are numerous workshops, presentations, and a continuous live cooking demonstration of Croatian dishes. The cooking show is presented by Udruga Renato - Chefs Without Borders, and the requested donations go for helping children get early screening for heart abnormalities.

It will be interesting to see if the Davis Cup finale, also taking place in Zagreb this weekend, affects attendance. One would imagine the visitors to the tennis event will be quite happy to find the year's premier wine and food event happening at the same time.

How better to celebrate your favourite team winning, or console yourself if they lose, than with the best wine and delicacies the region has to offer.
