Take the Touristic Train from Zagreb to Ozalj

The ticket includes the train ride, guided tour and ticket for Ozalj Homeland Museum, while children up to 6 years can join for free

First touristic train as part of the RUMOBIL project organised by Croatian Railways, in cooperation with the town of Ozalj, will arrive in Ozalj on March 25. The programme titled “In the Path of Slava Raškaj” combines a touristic visit to Ozalj and its preserved old town, a visit to the Homeland Museum of Ozalj and the grave of Slava Raškaj in the courtyard of St. Vid church.

Ahead of the arrival of the first touristic train, all passengers were welcomed by the Mayor of Ozalj, mr.sc. Gordana Lipšinić: “We look forward to our new guests and friends arriving by train to our small town. The rich history of our area, natural and cultural heritage witnessing for centuries of a proud and wonderful Ozalj has never been closer grace to this project. I invite you all to this interesting field trip and gathering in Ozalj, in the month we devoted to the great painter Slava Raškaj.”

By the end of the year trains will take passengers to already traditional manifestations – Wine Days in Vivodina, Old Rural Games in Vrhovec, Summer at the Bathing Spot, ŠtrudlaFest in Jaškovo, Palace Ball in Ozalj Old Town etc. Ticket price form Zagreb’s Main Railroad Terminal is 40 kuna, 20 kuna from Karlovac and includes the train ride, guided tour and ticket for Ozalj Homeland Museum, while children up to 6 years can join for free. Tickets are available at the cashiers of Zagreb’s Main Terminal and station in Karlovac.
