There's probably an endless line of topics people might disagree on. Here in Croatia, we particularly like to bicker over unimportant stuff just for the sake of complaining and quarreling; however, there are some things and subjects that instantly make us ignore our differences and enthusiastically unite in gushing over what's in front of us.
You know what's one of those things? Dolphins. Everybody loves dolphins. Have you ever heard someone say, "Ugh, I can't stand those friendly, squeaky animals"? I'd bet good money you haven't. They belong to that wondrous array of charming creatures that instantly make anyone happy, along with butterflies and puppies. So, even though we recently reported some dolphin sightings in the Lošinj archipelago, the Blue World Institute from Lošinj came out with a new photo album on Facebook that just has to be shared further.
So, what's going on? It seems the waters of Cres and Lošinj are currently witnessing a dolphin baby-boom, as the institute's research team spotted 49 dolphins and 9 newborns in a single week. They've been tracking five adorable clumsy babies trying to keep up with their moms.
The most astonishing thing to witness? Seeing the female named Bully swimming alone, then spotting a tiny fin gliding next to her the following day – literally a 1-day-old dolphin, the youngest calf the research team has ever seen.
You can see the rest of the album on Blue World Institute's Facebook page.
