Colours of Pazar are hard to resist - we bring you more photos from our favourite Instagram account
Many of us like to leaf through glossy fashion magazines to keep up with the latest trends or just enjoy the gorgeous photography. When you raise your eyes from the page and look around, you’ll notice every city has a location that resembles a proper runway. It might not be fashion of the likes of Marc Jacobs or Valentino, but one thing is certain – it’s going to be way more vibrant and raw.
One such location is the famous Pazar in Split, the largest open market where you can get fresh local produce and do some people watching. Apart from the vendors who’ll do their best to grab your attention and sweet-talk you into filling multiple bags with vegetables and fruit, there’s also the other group of characters: the customers, locals and tourists, clad in colourful outfits and layers of accessories that make them stand out in the crowd.
An Instagram account named Harperspazaar (nice pun!) pays tribute to those beloved characters. Last time we came out with a selection of Pazar regulars, we mostly focused on the vendors, whereas the latest glance at the account showed people really got into the groove and started donning their flashiest, eccentric ensembles.
