On the 16th November 2017, Yachts Croatia Magazine hosted an event to celebrate their 50th Edition; however, it wasn’t just another soiree, they also raised 150,000 kuna for the KBC Split Clinic for Paediatric Surgery.
Numerous entrepreneurs, friends and business partners of the magazine Yachts Croatia attended Zagreb’s Lauba with excellent music, delicious delicacies and a navigation of the Croatian coast on the occasion of Yachts’ 50th issue but it was more than just another soiree, there was a beautiful humanitarian aspect to the event.
Yachts Croatia is a unique print edition in the region which publishes news stories from the nautical world, stories of yachting and lifestyle which cover more than 300 pages, all in the spirit of the Mediterranean. All the topics that work together are the link between the quality of life and the products that the journal deals with. For nine years the magazine has been created by young enthusiasts from Split, who, on Thursday night, hosted an elegant event to celebrate the 50th edition of the Yachts Croatia Magazine.
The Split publishers took advantage of this opportunity to realise the action ‘Good to do good’. Namely, the evening also had a humanitarian aspect, where, thanks to a silent auction and donations, the partners of the magazine, together with Yachts donated specialist equipment to the KBC Split Clinic for Paediatric Surgery to the total value of 150,000 kunas.
Darko Šupuk, Editor-in-Chief of Yachts Croatia said:
"We are extremely happy to have been able to raise funds for the treatment of children. This would not be possible without the help of sponsors and event partners and in the first place of good people in companies that are our partners and friends, and who have recognized the value of this action."

It was a special evening, apart from a magazine in the unique area of Lauba, guests enjoyed the attractive exhibitions of their partners. The general sponsor of the event was the company Mastercard, which also provided financial aid for the humanitarian action. For the first time in Croatia, the new Audi A8, Tomić & Co. presented the car BMW 7 Individual by Nautor Swan and Star Import Mercedes - AMG GT C Roadster on the occasion of 50 years of its AMG program, while ACI announced its new marina in Rovinj. At the event, visitors could also enjoy the prize game in which the Malalan Jewelery awarded a women's gold diamond necklace with diamonds.
Huge congratulations to the team from Yachts Croatia for their 50th Edition and to all involved who helped raise the phenomenal sum of 150,000 kuna for the Paediatric Department in Split, talk about ‘heart in the right place’.
