Did You Marry Tanja in 2012 and Lose Your Wedding Ring in the Adriatic Near Zaostrog?

By 30 June 2018

June 30, 2018 - A wedding ring is washed ashore in Dalmatia. Can we find the lucky husband of Tanja?

Tanja is a lovely name.

And this particular Tanja must be a special lady for one man at least, for he married her in 2012.

But if you look at his hands today, you may see no evidence of their romantic union, for the white gold wedding ring she gave him to seal their love six years ago is no longer on his finger.

It has, instead, been spending some time in the Adriatic Sea - exactly how long Tanja and the ringless husband will only know.

Until now.

Losing one's wedding ring must be a traumatic experience, but there is a chance for a happy ending for Tanja's husband, as a reader kindly contacted us earlier today, saying that she had found the ring yesterday morning on Zaostrog Beach not far from Villa Paškal, halfway between Split and Dubrovnik. It is white gold, 585. Engraved in the ring are the words 'Tanja 2012.'

Does anyone know Tanja or her husband?

If the ring is yours, contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and let's see if we can get that ring back on its rightful finger.

In order to avoid the usual scammers claiming to be Tanja, if the ring is genuinely yours, please enclose a copy of your wedding certificate and a photo of your idyllic holiday in Zaostrog (presumably before the ring loss).
