The 7th edition of the popular Dimensons Festival wows Pula once again!
Last week, the seventh Dimensions Festival took place in beautiful Pula. The opening night of the concert, which is held at Pula's magnificent amphitheatre saw the German band Kraftwerk entertain a full arena. The band are considered by many to be the innovators and pioneers of electronic music.
Upon entry, visitors were given 3D glasses and the full show was done in 3D with a video being played continuously behind the four band members.
Also appearing on the opening night was Nils Frahm. The German musician, composer and record producer used various pianos/keyboards to play a combination of both classical and electronic music.
After the opening night, one of the world's most renowned festivals of electronic music moved a few miles down the road to the coastal resort of Puntizela and Fort Punta Christo. Here, party goers and dance music fans could relax by the sea, enjoy themselves and prepare themselves for the night of music ahead.
During the next four days, an estimated 6,000 people visited the festival and everyone danced at the numerous stages which were spread over the festival site.
As well as DJ sets, there were also live sets at the beach stage with over thirty musicians performing, taking the crowd from the afternoon sun and into the early hours of the evening.
There were over 175 artists performing at the festival, all of whom played a different type and genre of music for the crowd.
The main stage area saw some great live bands playing each and every night.
The festival concluded with revellers enjoying a mammoth a seven and half hour set by Bonobo on the main stage. After a few days lying on the beach, the magnificent Bonobo will be performing once again. This time, it will be at the opening night of the Outlook Festival, which is also held in Pula, and at the historic Roman amphitheatre. The festival begins on Wednesday with the opening night concert featuring Wiley and Sir David ''Ram Jam'' Rodigan MBE, accompanied by The Outlook Orchestra and a whole host of special guests.
