The exhibition was held in Toronto, Canada.
As Sasa Paparella/Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 4th of September, 2018, the group of Croatian innovators first got together at the international exhibition of innovation and tender for innovators of 42 countries from across the world - iCAN 2018, which was held in Toronto, with nine innovators from Croatia managing to win a total of twelve medals between them.
As stated in the announcement of the Alliance of Innovators of Zagreb, the most successful Croatian representatives were Melita Pavlek-Moćan and Mira Moćan from Cosmei d.o.o., with the innovation of C Collagen Cream C Vitamin + Hyaluron skin matrix repair, the cream saw the pair win the gold medal and the prestigious Best Invention Award.
Gold medals earned by Croatian innovators went to Zvonimir Viduka (Altpro d.o.o.) for a piece of innovation called Railroad Crossing (RLC23); followed by Vjekoslav Majetić (DOK-ING d.o.o.) for his mining bulldozer (MVD-XLPD); Mirjana Brlekić (Nature cures d.o.o.) for her hyaluron + vitamins Intensive revitalising line, Tomislav Bronzin (Citus d.o.o.) for C@N Motion Smart Customer Engagement - a type of digital platform with a gesture controlled user interface & augmented reality.
Silver medals were won by Almir Karabegović (Adleja d.o.o.) for the invention of a contraceptive spiral for dogs, followed by student Jakov Damjanović for a piece of innovation which deals with the measurement of soil pH levels, Matej Bošnjak with his innovative cutting and angle calibration, and Marko Kravar (Termist d.o.o.) won a bronze medal for his innovative nautical equipment.
"We're especially proud of the extraordinary successes, the silver medals of Zagreb's young innovators Jakov Damjanović and Matej Bošnjak, who won the Special Inventor Award," said Ladislav Prežigalo, the president of the Innovation Union of Zagreb.
