An earthquake shook a typically gorgeous Dalmatian afternoon near Trogir on the Adriatic Coast on December 9, 2016.
An earthquake measuring an estimated 5.0 on the Richter scale occurred on the Dalmatian coast just before 14:00 local time. The epicentre, some 8 kilomotres from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Trogir, was felt as far along the coast as Makarska.
