Wallets at the ready, unless you want to visit after 16:00...
Plitvice is one of Croatia's top tourist attractions located away from the coast, drawing in droves of tourists from all over the globe annually. Entrance to this fairytale-like natural wonder is going to cost you a bit more than usual from now on.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 27th of March, 2018, in the new price list, the new director has added what you could possibly refer to as a new "privilege" for those who would like to experience the incredible national park in the late afternoon hours.
For almost three months, there was increasing uncertainty and even a bit of political controversy regarding ticket prices to enter Plitvice Lakes National Park, but now everything appears to finally be clear. Ticket prices for the Plitvice Lakes National Park will, as was widely expected, increase this year.
According to the price list published, the price of adult tickets in the period from the 1st of April to the 30th of June will be 150 kuna per ticket, which is 40 kuna more than they've been so far. From July the 1st to August the 31st, the price of adult tickets before 16:00 will be 70 kuna more, meaning that instead of 180 kuna, the entrance fee will be 250 kuna.
As mentioned, and in a bit of a twist from the added overall expense and price increase, there is a new ''privilege'' for those wanting to enter the park during the late afternoon hours, more specifically after 16:00. If you want to visit after 16:00, tickets will be a dignificant 100 kuna cheaper, even cheaper than it was last year during the peak season of July and August.
