Ivo Tolić from IRB and prof. dr. sc. Nenad Pavin from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics (PMF) in Zagreb presented the latest results of their detailed research, which reveals that the spindle apparatus is a chiral structure.
This miraculous discovery could enter into the world's textbooks and lead to new insights into the process of the proper distribution of genetic material. The results of this research have been released and published by the well-respected and prestigious scientific journal, Nature Communications, a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal published by the Nature Publishing Group since the year 2010.

The new work is funded from several projects including the prestigious European Research Council (ERC), worth more than two million euros in total.
