EC Approves New Statistical Map of Croatia, Enabling Much Higher Co-funding

ZAGREB, 24 November, 2021 - The European Commission on Wednesday approved Croatia's new map for granting regional aid from 1 January 2022 to 31 December 2027 which will enable much higher co-financing for all regions, including the most developed one, the City of Zagreb. So far Croatia has been divided into two NUTS2 regions - Continental and Adriatic Croatia. As of 1 January, it will have four - Pannonian Croatia, North Croatia, Adriatic Croatia, and the City of Zagreb. FM Welcomes Opening of Swiss Labour Market to Croatian Nationals

ZAGREB, 23 November, 2021 - As of 1 January 2022, Croatian nationals will have the same status as citizens of other European Union member states on the Swiss labour market, which will provide fresh impetus to Croatian-Swiss relations, it was said at a meeting of the two countries' foreign ministers in Bern on Tuesday. Huawei for Digital Slavonia project presented in Osijek

ZAGREB, 23 November, 2021 - Chinese ICT provider Huawei presented the Huawei for Digital Slavonia project in the eastern Croatian city of Osijek on Tuesday, which will be implemented through two programmes - ICT Academy and Seeds for the Future Scholarship. ZSE Indices Go Up

ZAGREB, 22 Nov 2021 - The Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices on Monday went up by more than 0.50%, gaining for the second consecutive day, with the stocks of shipping companies being the biggest winners. The Crobex went up by 0.69% to 2,007 points while the Crobex10 rose by 0.54% to 1,228 points. Regular turnover amounted to HRK 4.6 million, HRK 400,000 less than on Friday. Regulator: Croatia’s Insurance Market Increases by Mere 0.1% in 2020

ZAGREB, 21 Nov, 2021 - The insurance market in Croatia in 2020 with total gross premiums of HRK 10.68 billion (€1.4 billion) written by insurers, slightly increased by HRK 12.9 million (€1.72 million) or 0.1% year on year, the Croatian Competition Agency (AZTN) reported on Friday. "Compared to 2019 when they amounted to just over HRK 10.66 billion, in 2020 a stagnation in gross premiums was registered.
