Croatia Airlines Posts 48.4 Million Kuna Loss in First Nine Months

ZAGREB, October 31, 2019 - Croatia Airlines' losses in the first nine months of 2019 stood at 48.4 million kuna, while net profits in the third quarter alone were 41 million kuna, the company said on Thursday. Despite the profits generated in Q2 and Q3, it was not enough to cover the losses generated in the winter months, the airline said, adding that the operating loss in the first nine months of the year amounted to 30.4 million kuna. Government Adopts Energy Strategy for Period Until 2030

ZAGREB, October 31, 2019 - The government on Thursday forwarded to the parliament a draft energy strategy of Croatia in the period until 2030 with an outlook for the period until 2050, which envisages a much higher share of energy from renewable sources, greater energy efficiency and a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Industrial Production and Retail Turnover Increase

ZAGREB, October 30, 2019 - In September 2019, Croatia's industrial production went up 2% on the year, while in the first nine months of the year it increased 1%. Industrial production in September 2019, as compared to August 2019, increased by 2.5%, the national statistical office said on Wednesday. INA's Revenue Up 2%, Profit Decreases

ZAGREB, October 28, 2019 - INA Group's revenue in the first nine months of 2019 totalled 16.55 billion kuna, two percent more than in the same period of 2018 while the group's profit dropped by 36% to 679 million kuna, shows a financial report the group released on Monday. CCS EBITDA excluding special items amounted to 2.397 billion kuna, improving 8% compared to the same period last year. Imports of Flowers to Croatia on Rise

ZAGREB, October 27, 2019 - In 2018, Croatia imported 1,797 tonnes of cut flowers, and the value of this import stood at 9.9 million euro, thus rising by 19.5% in comparison to 2017, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) has reported. The lion's share of the imports came from the Netherlands, 1,687 tonnes worth 9.1 million euro. The HGK explains this with the largest trade on the Amsterdam flower market.
