Italy's Investindustrial Fund Investing €120m in Rimac Group

ZAGREB, 27 April 2022 - The Italian investment fund Investindustrial is investing a total of €120 million in Rimac Group in several rounds of financing, the high-performance car manufacturer has told Hina. The money will be used primarily for the further development of the Rimac Technology company and serial production of key components for the electrification of vehicles for global car manufacturers. The main shareholders in Rimac Group are Mate Rimac (32.64%), Porsche AG (23.5%) and Hyundai Motor Group (10.35%), while all other shareholders hold together 33.76%. State Will Fill Okoli Gas Storage Facility If Lessees Do Not

ZAGREB, 26 April 2022 - Economy Minister Tomislav Ćorić has made a decision allowing the state to fill the Okoli underground gas storage facility if those leasing it fail to do so, and they are not doing it for now as it is not cost-effective due to high gas procurement prices. The decision was made based on an intervention plan to respond in time to potential gas supply disruptions, the ministry said on Tuesday, adding that the decision was proposed by a crisis management team established to monitor gas supply security. Pandemic Accelerates Digital Transformation in Croatia

Record Number of Applications Filed for Subsidised Housing Loans

ZAGREB, 26 April 2022 - The relevant APN agency has received a record 5,870 applications for subsidised housing loans and Construction, Physical Planning and State Assets Minister Ivan Paladina has announced additional funds for all the applications that will be approved. Applications could be filed from 21 March to 22 April and in this, the seventh round, a new record number were filed. In the previous round, 4,739 were filed, a record at the time. Croatia Among EU Countries With Largest Decreases in Debt to GDP Ratio

ZAGREB, 22 April (2022) - The government debt to GDP ratios in the EU and the euro area decreased in the fourth quarter of 2021 thanks to the recovery of the economy from the coronavirus crisis, and Croatia was among the countries with the largest decreases, according to a report released by Eurostat on Friday.
