Croatia's Stockpiles of Industrial Goods Up Month-on-Month, Down Year-on-Year
ZAGREB, 2 Feb 2022 - The stockpiles of finished industrial goods at the end of December 2021 rose by 0.3% compared to figures from the previous month, but declined by 10.2% compared to December 2020, according to data released by the Croatian National Bureau of Statistics (DZS). Broken down by main industrial groups, compared with November 2021, stockpiles of capital goods increased 3.8%, durable consumer goods by 3.7%, non-durable consumer goods by 3%, and energy stockpiles went up 2.7%. Croatia Issues €1 bn Bond on Domestic Market
ZAGREB, 1 Feb 2022 - Croatia has successfully issued a €1 billion bond on the domestic market with which it will reschedule two securities from 2017 and 2019, Finance Minister Zdravko Marić told Hina on Tuesday. The new bond is due in 2030 with a yield of 1.39% and coupon interest of 1.25%. The issue was arranged by Erste & Steiermärkische Bank, OTP banka, Privredna banka Zagreb, Raiffeisenbank Austria, and Zagrebačka banka. Dutch Company Green Trust Informs Milanović of Its Lički Medvjed Wind Park Project
ZAGREB, 1 Feb 2022 - President Zoran Milanović has met with representatives of the Dutch company Green Trust who presented the Lički Medvjed wind park project, the president's office said on Tuesday. Green Trust is preparing the project together with the German partner Enercon near Otočac. This wind park is the biggest such project in Croatia at the moment and the investment is planned at €500 million, Green Trust executives said. EIB: 73% of Croatian Citizens Thinking About Buying Electric or Hybrid Car
ZAGREB, 1 Feb 2022 - A climate survey by the European Investment Bank (EIB) has indicated that 73% of Croatians say they would opt for a hybrid or electric vehicle next time they purchase a vehicle, whereas 27% say they would choose a petrol/diesel car. The EIB Climate Survey 2021-2022 shows that older citizens prefer an electric vehicle whereas younger citizens prefer a petrol or diesel car. ZSE Indices Go Up Amid Weak Turnover
ZAGREB, 31 January 2022 - The main Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) indices went up slightly amid weak turnover, with the Crobex increasing by 0.33% to 2,132.61 points and the Crobex10 by 0.40% to 1,301.52 points. Regular turnover was HRK 3.9 million, about HRK 700,000 less than on Friday. No stock crossed the million kuna mark in trading. Končar generated the highest turnover, of HRK 552,100, closing at HRK 900 per share, up 1.69%. Thirty-six stocks traded today, with 11 gaining in price and 11 losing, while 14 were stable. HNB: Household Deposits Increase by 9.2%, Loans by 4.5%
ZAGREB, 31 January 2022 - In 2021, household loans went up by 4.5% to HRK 141.5 billion on the year on the back of a strong rise in housing loans, while household deposits went up by 9.2% to HRK 246.1 billion, the Croatian National Bank (HNB) said on Monday. At the end of 2021, monetary institutions' lending to domestic sectors, except the central government, totalled HRK 245.8 billion, up 3.9% on the year. 52,000 Croats Earn Minimum Wage
ZAGREB, 29 Jan 2022 - An estimated 52,000 employed Croatians receive the minimum wage, and roughly 20,000 of them are workers in the wood-processing, leather, and textile industry. In terms of the minimum wage for January 2022, Croatia ranked 21st, with €624, on the list of the 27 EU member-states. The other four countries at the bottom of the ranking were Hungary (€542), Romania (€515), Latvia (€500) and Bulgaria (€332), Večernji List (VL) reported on Saturday.
