1st Fisherman's Night held in Charming Pomena Port on Mljet Island (PHOTOS)

July 29, 2022 - The 1st Fisherman's Night was held in the charming small port of Pomena on the island of Mljet on Sunday. This event was organized by the Mljet Tourist Board with European Union funding from the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund. Admission to the event and food consumption were free of charge. There were a lot of foreign and local guests enjoying sardines, mussels, black risotto, Pelješac and Mljet wines, and delicious local olive oil.  Music band Versa entertained the guests until late into the night. July 29, 2022 - Oliver Dragojević lost his battle with cancer on July 29, 2018, at the age of 70. Four years later, we remember the region's most beloved singer.  The famed and favorite Croatian singer forever closed his eyes in the early morning hours of July 29, 2018, following a tough battle with lung cancer discovered in August 2017. Drivers and Pedestrians Warned About Taking Pelješac Bridge Photos: It's Dangerous!

July 27, 2022 - Hrvatske Ceste has sent a warning to drivers and pedestrians taking Pelješac Bridge photos from the shoulder lane. The Pelješac Bridge is open to traffic in both directions, reports Index.hr and N1. In an interview with N1, Slaviša Babić, head of the Hrvatske Ceste (HC) Traffic Department, says that around 1,500 vehicles had already crossed the bridge, and 500 in one hour before 9 am.
