Porec and Surrounding Municipalities Fund Own Additional Medical Teams

June the 30th, 2022 - Porec and several Istrian municipalities have decided to fund the employment of more staff in order to have emergency medical services made available all year. As Morski writes, the City of Porec and the nearby municipalities of Tar-Vabriga, Funtana, Vrsar, Visnjan, Sv. Crobex Rises for Fourth Straight Day

ZAGREB, 29 June 2022 - Amid careful trading on the Zagreb Stock Exchange on Wednesday, the main indices increased, with the Crobex continuing a four-day rise despite a poor turnover. The Crobex strengthened by 0.24% to 2,035 points. At the same time, the Crobex10 increased by 0.31% to 1,207 points, increasing for the second day in a row. Regular turnover amounted to almost HRK 4.6 million, which was 1.6 million less than on Tuesday. Not one stock crossed the million kuna mark. SDP to Collect MP Signatures for Reinstating Abortion Right into Constitution

ZAGREB, 29 June 2022 - Social Democratic Party president Peđa Grbin said on Wednesday the SDP would start collecting MP signatures for a parliamentary debate on reinstating a woman's right to abortion into the Constitution, and that if that failed, it would collect signatures for a referendum. Croatian Defence Industry Presented in European Parliament

ZAGREB, 29 June 2022 - Protective gear and other products of the Croatian defence industry were presented in the European Parliament on Wednesday as part of a conference on strengthening Europe's security and defence, organised by Croatian MEP Karlo Ressler. SuperSport HNL: New Name Given to Croatia's Top Football League

Border Controls on Land and Sea to be Revoked on 1 January, at Airports on 26 March

ZAGREB, 29 June 2022 - The Council of the EU on Wednesday proposed that controls at Croatia's land and sea borders with Schengen countries be revoked as of 1 January 2023 and at airports as of 26 March. The reasons for the different date for air traffic controls are of a technical nature. At airports in Schengen countries, it is necessary to change the gates for aircraft arriving and departing from Croatia in order to separate passengers and direct them to exits without border controls. Croatia Logs 1,197 New Coronavirus Cases, 1 Death

ZAGREB, 29 June 2022 - Croatia has registered 1,197 new coronavirus cases and one related death in the last 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team reported on Wednesday. The number of active cases now stands at 4,647, including 243 infected persons who are being treated in hospital, of whom five are placed on ventilators, while 2,082 people are self-isolating. Since 25 February 2020, when the first COVID-19 case was confirmed in Croatia, 1,147,380 people have been registered as having contracted the novel virus, of whom 16,060 have died and 1,126,673 have recovered, including 252 in the last 24 hours.
