Croatia Reports 424 New Coronavirus Cases, 3 Deaths

ZAGREB, 8 June 2022 - In the last 24 hours, 424 coronavirus cases, out of 2,454 tests, and three related deaths have been registered in Croatia, the national COVID-19 crisis management team said on Wednesday. There are 1,882 active cases, including 168 hospitalised patients, of whom five are on ventilators, while 869 persons are self-isolating. To date, Croatia has registered 1,138,702 coronavirus cases, the death toll stands at 16,007, and 68.75% of the adult population has completed vaccination.

Prices of Eurosuper and Eurodizel Go Down

ZAGREB, 8 June 2022 - As of Wednesday, Eurosuper 95 is sold at most petrol stations in Croatia at a price of HRK 13.50 per litre, which is HRK 0.36 fewer than on Tuesday, and the price of Eurodizel has gone down by HRK 0.06 to HRK 13.08, following the government's decision to additionally reduce excise taxes on oil products. Employees in Judicial System Continue Their Protest

ZAGREB, 8 June 2022 - Disgruntled judicial staff, mostly civil servants and clerks who are dissatisfied with their status and entitlements, continued their protest on Wednesday outside court buildings and state attorney's offices across Croatia. EP Pushes for Qualified Majority Voting in Certain Foreign Policy Areas

ZAGREB, 8 June 2022 - The decision making by a qualified majority vote, instead of the unanimous endorsement, should be introduced in some segments of the European Union's foreign affairs, a majority of European Parliament members agreed on Tuesday when they also called for more invesments in Ukraine's defence. June the 8th, 2022 - New Croatian bird flu cases have unfortunately been recorded in Osijek-Baranja County, which is causing concern among domestic producers in an already difficult economic situation.
