Milanović Not Able to Veto Finland's and Sweden's NATO Membership Bids, Says Jutarnji List

ZAGREB, 4 May 2022 - Croatian President Zoran Milanović will not be able to veto Finland's and Sweden's accession to NATO because this will be decided by the ambassadors of the member states and not by the heads of state or government, the Jutarnji List (JL) daily wrote on Wednesday. Croatian Tourism Industry Continues to See Positive Trends in April

ZAGREB, 4 May 2022 - The Croatian tourism industry continued to see positive trends in April, with 876,600 tourist arrivals and 2.8 million overnight stays, which are annual increases of 260% and 231% respectively, according to the Croatian Tourism Board. In the first four months of 2022, 1.6 million tourists stayed in Croatia, or 171% more than in the same period in 2021, while the number of overnight stays increased by 150% to slightly over 5 million. Croatia Reports 1,184 New Coronavirus Cases, 8 Deaths

ZAGREB, 4 May 2022 - Croatia has recorded 1,184 new coronavirus cases and eight COVID-related deaths in the past 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team reported on Wednesday. The number of active cases in the country now stands at 5,334, and 411 patients are being treated in hospital, including 17 placed on ventilators, while 2,393 people are self-isolating.
